Jason Todd is Bruce Wayne's son and Robin is Batmans son, and both very much adore this title and treasure it. Red Hood is not Batman’s son, but he is Bruce Wayne’s. 

Tim Drake is Bruce Wayne’s emotional support child and child. Not son, his child. Robin is Batmans loyal partner and Batman is his father figure and mentor. Red Robin is Batman’s son. Drake has been disowned from the family and does not exist. 

Stephanie Brown is not Bruce Wayne’s child. She steals his food and his money and his children on occasion but she does not really belong to him. Try telling him that though and you've got another thing coming. Robin is Batman’s greatest  annoyance and she wears that as a fucking badge of honor. Batgirl is actually Batman's nemesis but not in like a Joker kind of way, more in a 'she steals things from his utility belt just before he tries to pull it out or drops encouraging notes on his patrol and also hacks his comms to play the same song over and over again' kind of way. Batman has been heard screaming her name like a curse on many occassions. Spoiler is Batman’s even greater annoyance and on occasion she allows herself to be his daughter. Batman does not get to decide these terms. 

Barbara Gordon is not Bruce Wayne’s daughter. He is her weird uncle who she also considers her mother and her step father who she also sees as her protector on the rare occasion she actually needs it but for the most part hes just the divorced father who shows up at her house sometimes asking for visiting rights. (sometimes she says yes) Batgirl is Batman’s loyal partner and confident and technically his daughter in law but she doesn't like that descriptor, but he is her mentor. Oracle is Batman’s stalker and ass kicker if he doesn't take care of himself. 

Cassandra Cain is Bruce Wayne's daughter through thick and thin and neither of them really get a say. Batgirl is Batman’s daughter and no one dares argue it. Orphan too. And Black Bat.

Damian Wayne is Bruce Wayne’s undisputed son, and Robin is Batman’s undisputed son as well (though heir is another matter.)

Duke Thomas is Bruce Wayne’s legally guarded(bruce is his legal guardian). The Signal doesn't associate with the Batman at all, but some consider him Batman’s mentee, and many would even argue Batman is very serious in his mentor/father figure role, seen on many occasions forcing a granola bar or hug onto the younger

All in all, every single child, adopted or not, it is very clear to every outsider, that they forced themselves into Bruce Wayne and Batman’s life and routine and while both males are vastly different, they clearly share the utter confusion about being parents, and whether they even are or not, because they don't get a say.

To be clear, I do ship Marcille and Falin!! I just ship them as.... complicated, you know? They have dyke drama. Marcille is deluding herself that Falin hasn't grown up and she's not going to age, and she's not going to die no matter what Marcille does, and Marcille isn't going to have to live most of her life having lost her. I firmly believe in Damian having a completely different dynamic with his brothers than they have with each other because he’s the youngest. Like they definitely have all taken turns raising Damian, and that fully affects their relationships. Dick and Bruce always make plans for a few weeks over the summer holiday where Damian just stays with him in Blüdhaven like a divorced parent. Jason keeps an eye on Damian during patrol, and if Bruce has an emergency where he can’t patrol with Damian, Damian will call Jason to run around with him and HE DOES IT. Tim complains at Damian for having to be the responsible older brother when Bruce goes on extended league missions, but he secretly has an SD card filled with pictures of Damian from school plays and art shows.

The only brother Damian has a normal sibling relationship with is Duke. They’re actually really close, but if anyone comments on it, they vehemently deny it.

Batfamily Relationship Tournament 2024

It's time once again to decide which Batkid relationships we like best!

Rather than pitting the Batfamily against each other, we're teaming them up! (And THEN pitting them against each other.)

In 2023, the winner was Dick & Tim, though Tim & Cass and Babs & Cass also made strong showings. I'm fine with one of them winning again this year, or with a surprise upset. Let's see what happens!

We've now added in the complications of DOUBLE ELIMINATIONS. Mostly so I can see a bit more Duke. This means that there is a Loser Bracket and complicated math going on. Complicated math makes me happy! Current plan is that Winners Bracket votes will be one week, and Loser's Bracket votes will be one day. (Because the loser's bracket has twice as many voting periods.)

You don't need to understand double eliminations. Just know that every pairing will get at least two competitions.

Yesterday, here on tumblr, someone reached out to me, seeking help. And now I am here seeking yours. I don't care about your opinions and views. The matter of the fact is that everyone deserves to be treated as human beings, and they deserve the rights of human beings as we all do.

Right now, we have a violation of the LGBTQ+ community in Uganda after its government passed one of the harshest anti-gay laws, which includes punishment by death.

Yesterday, @annoyingpaintertragedy (please take a look at their blog) reached out to me regarding this. They mentioned that many of Ugandas lgbtq civilians were forced to flee Uganda to neighboring Kenya. But situations are just as bad in Kenya. They spoke of the Kakuma refugee camps where they now live along with many other refugees.

I myself am just now learning of this. But if you have any information or links of organizations that may help regarding this situation, please send them to me or add them to the reblogs.
